COVID-19 outbreak: People violate lockdown norms in Guwahati City

GUWAHATI: After the Assam Government announced certain relaxation in lockdown rules, the citizens wasted no time in violating the norms, on Tuesday.

The GS road area witnessed traffic jam and people were seen coming out of the house in their private cars violating the lockdown rules.

In Fancy Bazar area several shops were open and rickshaws were also operating. At the time when the government is fighting to curb the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, the public took out a mockery of social distancing in Fancy Bazar area. The Guwahati Traffic police on the other hand took stern actions and registered several cases for the lockdown violation.
