CRPF IG, NE Sector Prakash D transferred to Chattisgarh

GUWAHATI: Prakash D, IG CRPF, NE Sector with headquarters at Shillong has been transferred to Naxal-hit Chattisgarh. A recent order to this effect was received in the office on Saturday. A farewell function was organized at the CRPF headquarters on Saturday evening where all officers and men assembled, stated a press release. The IG in his speech thanked all the officers and men for their support and cooperation in conducting the anti-insurgency operations in Assam. He remembered the various challenges in the last three years the CRPF had faced.

The IGP further acknowledged the cooperation and support received from the Assam Police, Army, Air Force, Assam Rifles , BSF, ITBP and SSB.

He also thanked the people of Assam for their support and cooperation.
