GUWAHATI: To promote police and public relations and to help the poor, a civic action programme was organized by the 175 Battalion CRPF at Kapili Picnic Spot on Saturday. Commandant of 175 Battalion Subhash Chandra Sharma was the chief guest of the ceremony and Deputy Ranger of Forest Range Rani, Khairair Rehman and president of Kapili Picnic Spot Subal Boro were guest of honours. The programme was attended by a large number of locals and unit Jawans.

Another programme to promote police and public relations was organized at Uppardani High School, Rani. During the programme a toilet and urinal block and cycle stand was inaugurated in the premises of the Uppardani High School.

Second in command of 175 Battalion CRPF KL Dhiman, welcomed the chief guest and the locals. He gave a brief about various kinds of civic action programmes organized by the 175 Battalion and CRPF from time to time. He also requested the locals and youths to make optimum use of the facilities/assistance rendered by the CRPF. Second in command P Kharmujai, Deputy Commandant Manoj Singh, and senior medical officer of 175 Battalion Dr Anil Thakur were also present during the programme, stated a release.
