Daylight robbery in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: An amount of Rs 3,04,420 was looted from an employee of an LPG dealer in a daylight robbery in front of the Bank of Baroda branch at Lachit Nagar branch here on Wednesday.

According to police sources, a helmet-wearing man accosted the employee, identified as Sanjib Medhi, and snatched the bag containing the money while the victim was on his way to deposit the cash in the bank.

An FIR has been lodged at the Paltanbazar Police Station in this connection.

However, no arrest has been made as yet.
