GUWAHATI: Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, Assam, and National Health Mission, Assam, in association with the National Health Authority, New Delhi, Govt. of India, organized a Digital Swasthya Summit on November 30 at Assam Administrative Staff College with the leading private hospitals operating in Kamrup Metro as well as various Medical Councils and Medical Associations of Assam, who are the important stakeholders of the digital healthcare ecosystem of Assam, for better implementation of national health programmes in a more efficient manner. Avinash P. Joshi, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary, H&FW, Dr. M. S. Lakshmi Priya, Mission Director, NHM and ABDM, Pankaj Chamuah, ACS, OSD, NHM, Assam, officials from the National Health Authority of New Delhi (GOI), and state programme officials of ABDM and NHM were present at the summit.

The purpose of the summit was to enlighten about the manifold benefits of getting the private health facilities as well as the health professionals on boarded onto the ABDM National Digital Health Ecosystem through its various components, the National Health Mission’s ongoing programmes, and also the significance of health portals in improving performances in health care services in the state. Dr. M. S. Lakshmi Priya, IAS, Mission Director, NHM and ABDM, stated that “We will ensure that both ABDM and NHM move forward together for providing the best possible healthcare services to the people of the state and thus strengthening the health system of Assam.”
