Director General of Police issues transfer order for 83 sub-inspectors

GUWAHATI: The death incident of Junmoni Rabha, SI, has shaken the whole of Assam Police. After transferring the Superintendents of Police and Additional Superintendents of Police in Nagaon and Lakhimpur, the Assam Director General of Police, GP Singh, issued transfer orders for around 83 sub-inspectors of different DEFs, organisations, and units on Saturday.

Meanwhile, DGP G.P. Singh said on Saturday that, beginning at the inspector level, all officers in the police department who have served at a particular place for more than three years in a row will be transferred.
