Assam Govt Modifies Earlier Notification on IPS, APS Officers Transfer

The Assam government has brought some modifications to the earlier notification, issued by the state home (administration) on May 14, 2021, effecting reshuffle in the assam police department with transfer of several top level officers.

According to the new notification, here is the details...

1. Kangkan Jyoti Saikia (IPS), who was attached to Assam Police Headquarters vide the state home department's earlier notification (No. HMA 24/2012/182, dated May 14, 2021, is posted as superintendent of police (CID), Guwahati against the existing vacancy.

2. In partial modification of the home department's earlier notification and in the interest of public service, Shiladitya Chetia (IPS) is transferred and posted as Commandant of 10 APBn, Kahilipara in Guwahati.

3. Dr. Dhananjay Parashuram Ghanawat (IPS), superintendent of police, Dhemaji, is transferred and posted as superintendent of police of Sonitpur.

4. Mughdhajyoti Dev Mahanta (APS), attached to Assam Police Headquarters vide the home department's earlier notification, is posted as Commandant of CDO Battalion, Mandakata in Guwahati.

5. Ranjan Bhuyan (APS), Commandant of CDO, Battalion, Mandakata, is transferred and posted as superintendent of police, Dhemaji.

6. Amrit Bhuyan (APS), attached to Assam Police Headquarters, vide the home department's earlier notification, is posted as Commandant of 8th APBn, Abhayapuri in Bongaigaon against the existing vacancy.

7. Harekrishna Nath (APS), Commandant of 2nd APBn, Makum in Tinsukia, is transferred and posted as deputy commissioner of police (Security & Intelligence), Guwahati, against existing vacancy.

8. In partial modification of the home department's earlier notification issued on May 14, 2021, Manabendra Dev Ray (APS) is transferred and posted as Commandant of 9th APBn, Barhampur against existing vacancy.

9. Dr. Nanda Singh (APS), attached to Assam Police Headquarters vide the home department's earlier notification issued on May 14, 2021, posted as Commandant of 2nd APBn, Makum in Tinsukia. "All the officers under transfer are directed to join the respective place of postings in 48 to 72 hours," the notification said.
