GUWAHATI: Dispur Police released Enamul Haque today. The police detained Haque on Friday, suspecting him of trying to open an Assam chapter of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).

DCP East Sudhakar Singh informed the media today that the police had got no evidence that could prove Haque's link with the JMB. The police had picked him up for interrogation based on some information. The documents seized from him had spelling mistakes and errors in names. The symbols used were also not genuine. Somebody has conspired to trap him in a false case, the DCP said. The DCP further said that Haque informed the police that he had enmity with one who might have the plot to harm him. "We are now verifying what he said," the DCP said. Meanwhile, the DCP said that the police registered a case on Makon Kakati fleeing from police custody while taken for her medical examination.
