Excise officials to maintain vigil on Shiv Ratri

GUWAHATI: In view of the Maha Shiv Ratri, the Superintendent of Excise, Kamrup Metro has directed all Inspectors of Excise and AIE's of the District to carry out extensive raids (patrolling) around temple complexes. The order aims to curb the illegal sale of liquor, illicit liquor, Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances and liquor related crimes.

Hence all Inspectors of Excise have been instructed to keep constant and strict vigilance on the illegal trade of illicit liquor and drugs. Further, they are also directed to keep close coordination with the Superintendent of Excise, Kamrup and Deputy Superintendent of Excise in this regard.
