Fake COVID certificate racket: 2 held in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Based on the complaint filed by the Superintendent of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) regarding a racket of issuing fake COVID negative certificate, a case (437/21/u/s 406/420/468 IPC) had been registered in Bhangagarh PS. In this regard, on Monday night one Alok Das was arrested. He is a contractual employee in the GMCH Eye Bank. Again on Tuesday, one Abhijit Das was arrested. He is a driver in Guwahati Refinery Hospital. Both were produced before the CJM court on Wednesday and were remanded to judicial custody.
