Female social workers felicitated on International Women's Day

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metro District Administration and District Social Welfare Office celebrated the International Women's Day under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme at Nirmal Ashray (Swadhar Greh), Association for Social Health in India, Assam State Branch.

The programme was supported by District Level Centre for Women, MSK (Mahila Shakti Kendra).

In the programme, four women of the district viz., Meghali Das (Social Worker), Illusmita Konwar (Centre Administrator, One Stop Centre), Anju Devi (Head Constable, RPF, Paltan Bazar) and Safijan Khatun (trafficking survivor) were felicitated as 'The Women Inspirer' for their contribution to the women and society, stated a release.
