First electric bus in city scheme of Faster Adoption and Manufacture of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles

GUWAHATI: Under the scheme of FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacture of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles) the first electric bus arrives in the city. The ASTC was supposed to introduce 25 buses and in the first phase, TATA motors bagged the tender out of which, the first arrived on Friday. The full AC electric bus will run from this month in the Kamakhya temple road. It runs on a 120 KW battery and needs two and a half hours of charging time, after which it can ride upto 120 kilometers.
