Five-day summer workshop 'Amrit camp' concludes in Guwahati city

 GUWAHATI: A five-day summer workshop named 'Amrit Camp'-Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja', which was organized on July 17 by the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in collaboration with Gauhati Artists' Guild at Gauhati Artists' Guild premises, Chandmari, ended on Friday.

A total of 100 children from classes V to IX participated in the 'Amrit Camp', where they were trained in various crafts based on paper, clay, and cloth, along with painting as well as movement and mime. A special session on Folk and Contemporary theatre was also conducted. A special Dance-Drama on 'Rivers of Assam, based on the songs of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, was a special attraction of the final day's cultural function. Prof. Dr. Dayananda Pathak, an eminent academician and writer, graced the closing ceremony as Chief Guest, stated a press release.
