GUWAHATI: Five separate road accidents of non-fatal nature took place in the city on Thursday, stated the Guwahati Traffic Police through its bulletin on road accidents. A self accident of a truck was occurred on NH-37, Opposite SIRD Meghalaya side, Khanapara after the driver lost his control. Similarly, driver of an LMV lost his control and sustained minor injuries on NH-37, Near 13th Mile, Jorabat. On AT road, near ASTC gate Paltanbazar a pedestrian was hit by a two wheeler. In another incident two two wheelers rammed into each other due to rash driving at Narengi Shani Mandir. In a similar incident, rider of a two wheeler sustained grievous injury due to rash driving at Noonmati, near Cabin Chowk. The Guwahati Traffic Police has asked the drivers to drive carefully on the highways. It also urged the pedestrians to use the footpaths while walking. Similarly installation of street lights at the Noonmati venue has been advised.
