PALASBARI/GUWAHATI: Private airline operator 'Fly Big' started direct passenger flights between Guwahati and Tezu under Lohit District in Arunachal Pradesh from on Wednesday, informed Ravi Kant, the Regional Executive Director (RED) of AAI (Airports Authority of India), Northeast Region.
He added that the 72-seater passenger flight would leave the LGBI (Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport), Borjhar at 8:25 am and reach Tezu at 9:35 am on Wednesday.
He also said that on the same day, the flight will depart from Tezu at 9:55 am and arrive at the LGBI Airport at 11:15 am. Kant further informed that the Guwahati-Tezu flight would operate every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. He expressed hope that the flight services would boost tourism in the NE region.
