GUWAHATI: On the by-polls to four seats in the State, Gogoi said, "The Opposition should focus on supporting a common candidate against the ruling alliance of the BJP-AGP- UPPL.
The AJP leader expressed his opinions on a number of other issues.
PRICE RISE: The government should concentrate on making common people's life easier and comfortable by checking the spiraling prices of essential commodities, stated Gogoi.
COVID-19: Flaying the government over the slow pace of vaccination, the AJP leader said, "At the present rate, it will take many years for the entire population of the State to get vaccinated."
DRUG DISPOSAL: "Why are drugs being burnt even before completion of investigations? Why is there such haste in destroying the seized narcotics? Is this tactic a means to also destroy any proof?"
These were the posers of AJP president Lurinjyoti Gogoi while addressing the media at the party head office at Lamb Road here on Sunday. Gogoi further asked, "Shouldn't there have been a move to urgently file charge sheets against the drug peddlers?"
