Former Minister Gautam Roy, Former Rajya Sabha MP Santiuse Kujur Quit Congress

GUWAHATI: Former minister Gautam Roy and former Rajya Sabha MP Santiuse Kujur resigned from the Congress on Saturday. While Roy sent his resignation letter to Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora on Saturday, Kujur sent his resignation letter addressed to the AICC president on Saturday. According to sources in the BJP, both Roy and Kujur are going to join the BJP at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan in Guwahati on Sunday. The development came close on the heels of former Rajya Sabha MP Bhubaneswar Kalita quitting the Congress and joining the BJP.
