Fraudster held in Guwahati city

GUWAHATI: The Bhangagarh on Saturday arrested a fraudster named Konkon Das from the Dispur area on the charge of cheating a person over a land deal. Police sources said that Das duped a man of Rs 22 lakh in 2020 on the basis of a fake land sale deal.

Das hails from Hojai and is now staying in the Geetanagar area here, the sources said, adding that he has been arrested in connection with a case (140/2022) registered at the Bhangagarh Police Station.
