Function held to mark Rashtriya Poshan Maah in Beltola

GUWAHATI: An inaugural ceremony cum convergence meeting was organized by the District Social Welfare Office Kamrup Metropolitan district to mark the 3rd Rashtriya Poshan Maah under Poshan Abhiyaan on September 15 at the auditorium of Assam State Social Welfare Board, Beltola. Dr. Dhrubajyoti Hazarika, ACS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Manjuri Borthakur, Programme Officer, Divisional ICDS Cell, Kamrup, Buli Gogoi Bhuyan, District Elementary Education Officer, and other officials from Education, Health, ASRLM, CDPOs, Supervisors, POSHAN Abhiyaan Officials and Anganwadi Workers were present in the ceremony.

The ceremony started with lightning the lamp by the dignitaries present. DSWO stated about the two main themes of 3rd Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2020 which is to give emphasis in identification of referral of Sever Acute Malnourished and Moderately Acute Malnourished children and plantation drive for promotion of POSHAN Vatika or Kitchen garden.
