Gauhati High Court Bar Association moves Chief Justice for physical court

GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court Bar Association has appealed to the Chief Justice to restore physical court from June 1, 2020. In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Justice of the High Court, the Association said, "Our executive meeting held on May 26, 2020 has unanimously resolved that the litigants were unable to get justice through Virtual Courts in the Gauhati High Court and the Government of Assam also opened all its offices with 100 per cent attendance from May 26, and as such the hon'ble Chief Justice may be requested to restore the physical court w.e.f. June 1 by abolishing the present Virtual Courts.''
