Gauhati High Court granted bail to Victor Das

GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court granted bail to Victor Das today. The police arrested Victor Das on September 9 after he had alleged anomalies in grade III and IV recruitment examinations. They arrested Victor Das on the charge of spreading rumours about the recruitment process to fill up over 26,000 vacant posts in different departments. The High Court granted bail to Das on medical grounds. He has been suffering from fever and severe headache since Thursday night.

The police booked Victor Das under sections 120B, 153, 153A, 384 and 505 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
