Gauhati University assistant professor Dr Debashis Saikia files FIR on theft

GUWAHATI: An Assistant Professor of Gauhati University, Dr Debashis Saikia filed an FIR at Jalukbari Outpost on Friday evening regarding the theft in his official quarters when he was away.

According to the FIR, Dr. Saikia found that his quarters had been theft by breaking the backyard doors. He was out of his quarters since October 14, 2020 due to the operation of his wife in a hospital in Guwahati. He found that the locks of the store were also found broken. Dr. Saikia gave a list of valuable items that were found missing from his house in the first observation. The list has – a piece of gold necklace, two pieces of gold chains, three pairs of gold earrings, five gold rings, one diamond ring, one pair of golden bracelets and three watches.
