GUWAHATI: Three General Observers and one Police Observer arrived in Guwahati on Thursday evening to observe the four Assembly constituencies in the Kamrup Metropolitan Election District. Suparna Das Ahamed, Renu Jaipal and Mal Singh Bhayadia are the three officers from the cadre of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) appointed by the Election Commission of India as General Observers. Similarly, the Election Commission of India has appointed Sandeep Mittal (IPS) as the Police Observer for the four constituencies in Kamrup Metro. It is to be noted that General Observer Suparna Das Ahamed will observe the Jalukbari LAC while Renu Jaipal will observe the Dispur and East Guwahati LACs. On the other hand, General Observer Mal Singh Bhayadia will observe the West Guwahati LAC.
