Governor Jagdish Mukhi Pays Homage To The Father of The Nation

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi paid floral tributes to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his 71st death anniversary at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.

A two-minute silence was also observed on the occasion. Prof Jagdish Mukhi while remembering the great soul said, “We pay our gratitude to the Father of the Nation and all the freedom fighters for their unparallel sacrifices made for the country to gain Independence”.

The dedication, values, leadership shown by Bapuji remains ever fresh to the people around the world. His philosophy of truth and non-violence and his moral, political, economic, social, individual and collective teachings are worth emulating even today. Officers and staff of Raj Bhavan also paid floral tributes to Bapu ji, a press release stated.
