GUWAHATI: The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) has opposed the State Government's decision to provide question papers in Hindi - along with English, Assamese and Bodo languages - for the ensuing recruitment examination for Grade-III and Grade-IV posts in various departments.

In a statement issued to the media, AJYCP's president Rana Pratap Baruah and general secretary Palash Changmai alleged that the State Government has prepared question papers in Hindi with the motive of recruiting candidates from other States.

"Such an anti-Assam conspiracy, which is aimed against the unemployed youths of the State, will never be accepted," the statement said.

The two AJYCP leaders alleged that the Government is trying to deprive numerous educated unemployed youths of Assam at a time when they are being forced go to other States and do menial work to earn a living.

Baruah and Changmai pointed out that the AJYCP and other organizations have been demanding hundred per cent reservation of Grade-III and Grade-IV posts for local youths. The duo termed the Government's decision to provide question papers in Hindi as "unfortunate" and said that the AJYCP will launch an agitation if the decision is not revoked forthwith.
