Guwahati: Cops prevent suicide bid at Saraighat Bridge

Guwahati: A team of the West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) from the Jalukbari Police Station averted a possible tragedy on Sunday by successfully rescuing a 17-year-old boy who was contemplating to commit suicide by jumping off the Saraighat bridge. Police sources said that boy was medically examined and then handed over to his father after counselling.
