Guwahati Crime Branch arrested two peddlers at Athgaon

GUWAHATI: Acting on a tip-off Crime Branch Guwahati conducted a raid at Athgaon infront of Marwari Hospital on Tuesday and arrested two peddlers with 13 gms of suspected brown sugar. The personnel also recovered a vehicle (AS 01EJ 3192) from the accused - Tosur Ali and Mojina Khatun. Upon being led by accused Tosur Ali, the personnel conducted a raid at his residence in Nizarapar, Katahbari during which several recoveries were made. Apart from 13 gms of suspected brown sugar, suspected brown sugar CC-19, Rs 59,500, 16 silver coins, 588 gms of jewellery and one pair of gold ear rings were also seized.
