Guwahati: Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated a Covid-Care Hospital at Kalapahar, Guwahati on Wednesday.
The hospital is equipped with all the modern equipment and facilities like ICU with oxygen support, Dialysis Unit, Ventilator facility, laboratory and X-ray unit. The hospital will provide 24×7 specialist services. The hospital has 160 beds.
Sarma expressed happiness for being able to achieve another milestone in the state government's fight against Covid-19.

Meanwhile, the state's COVID tally has reached 2,07,361 with the detection of 397 new cases on Tuesday. The death toll reached 934 after 2 more patients died due to infection. Sarma informed that the new cases were detected out of 28,884 tests conducted on the day.
