GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Jal Board has launched the provision of water connections to households in Guwahati and its surrounding areas, encouraging residents to register for access to safe drinking water. The service is currently in operation across multiple key areas.

Residents in areas such as Amiya Nagar 1, Amiya Nagar 2, Piyali Phukan Nagar, Chandmari, Rajgarh, Bhaskar Nagar/Geetanagar, Ambikagiri Nagar, Mother Teresa Road, Zoo Road, Narikalbari, Anil Nagar/Nabin Nagar, Tarun Nagar/Sree Nagar, Gandhi Basti/Nehru Stadium/Islampur, Lachit Nagar/South Sarania/Ashram Road, parts of Bora Service/Bhangagarh (from Sainik Bhavan to Big Bazaar on Rajgarh Main Road), Japorigog, Kalyanpur, Krishna Nagar, Manik Nagar/Sundarpur Path, Nayanpur 1, Nayanpur 2, Ramsa Hills, GS Road-Ulubari Chariali to Paltan Bazaar, GS Road (left side)-ASEB Road to Ulubari Chariali, Rupnagar/Birubari, Kharguli Hills, Hirimbapur, Silpukhuri, Latasil/Barowari, Hengrabari 1, Hengrabari 2, Hengrabari 3, Fancy Bazaar/Pan Bazaar, Bormotoria 2, Swaraj Nagar, Swaraj Nagar 2, and Swaraj Nagar 3, along with parts of Down Town, can avail themselves of this essential service.
