Guwahati Man Die By Suicide After Slashing Wife and Son's Throat in Satgaon

GUWAHATI: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly committed suicide after slashing off the throats of his wife and son in Guwahati's Satgaon area.

The incident has been reported from Guwahati's Satgaon area.

As per reports, the family was reeling under an abject financial crisis. Further, unable to bear the burden of monetary setbacks, the man killed his wife and son before taking his own life.

The deceased identified as Bhabesh Sarma was an owner of a Homeo chemist shop. His wife Himadri Sarma and son Parag Sarma.

Meanwhile, sources have quoted that Himadri Sarma is battling for her life in GMCH.

Bhabesh was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his home while his wife and son were lying inside in one of the rooms in serious condition.

On the other hand, in a similar incident from neighbouring state Meghalaya, a man identified as Bose Kharbani (25) has reportedly committed suicide after killing his wife Rosemary Lyngkhoi (26).

They lived in a rented house in Mawiaban near Siejlieh village under West Khasi Hills. The incident happened on Tuesday after villagers informed village authorities who later alerted the police.

According to reports, police found the man hanging at the ceiling of the house with the body of his wife dead on the bed in the same room.

The six-month-old baby was lying on the bedside and was immoderately rushed to a local hospital in Nongstoin.

Villagers alerted local authorities after they heard the baby crying continuously in the morning.

After the incident came to light a crime scene unit was dispatched from Shillong. The police have suspected that a husband killed his wife using a knife that was found in the room.
