The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) is working continuously for the development and beautification of the city. Most people are aware of it, but there are a few who still throw clothes, blankets, and bottles into the sewers.

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) is working continuously for the development and beautification of the city. Most people are aware of it, but there are a few who still throw clothes, blankets, and bottles into the sewers.

According to officials, sewers are almost filled with the unnecessary thrown-away items that clog the drains, making it very difficult for the sewage cleaners to clean the drains.

To get rid of the problem, the GMC is carrying out cleaning drives of the drains in parts of the city.
