Guwahati Municipal Corporation drive yields Rs 2.33 lakh in fines

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) on Monday conducted a drive in the Basistha area here and found that around 30-35 shops/business establishments were operating without a valid trade licence.

An amount of Rs. 2,33,000 was collected by way of fines in the process. The GMC also issued notice to these business establishments where irregularities were found.
