Guwahati Municipal Corporation Seals 'By the Way' Restaurant for Breaking Norms

GUWAHATI: Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has sealed a restaurant. The restaurant named By the Way has been sealed for illegally serving hookah and running without a proper licence. A fine of Rs 1.5 lakh has been levied on the restaurant.

According to GMC officials, "There are many other cafes or restaurants that are running illegally without licence and do not follow any rules. We are asking them to adhere to the necessary rules and regulations when running establishments or the concerned shall be levied with heavy penalties by the authorities."
