Guwahati Municipal Corporation undertakes multiple operations

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has taken several steps towards making the city a better place for the citizens to live in and bringing some health hazards under control.

The corporation has initiated a campaign to prevent dengue in the city. As a part of this project, the organization has started spraying and fogging measures to control the growth of vectors including mosquitoes. This operation is being carried out in various parts of the city during this monsoon season in coordination with the District Malaria Officer of the Health Department of the State.

GMC has also deployed special equipment to remove the dust on the streets of the city in a bid to control the amount of dust in the air. The vehicle is being made operational to give the citizens, especially those who go for morning walks in different parts of the city, a better environment.
