Guwahati: National Youth Day Celebrated in Pragjyotish College

GUWAHATI: Rashtra Sevika Samitis Mahavidyalayan Taruni Bibhag celebrated National Youth Day on Tuesday to commemorate and honor the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, one of India's greatest spiritual and social leader in Pragjyotish College, Guwahati on the theme Vivekananda and Bharat.

Approximately 400 college going girls attended an outdoor self defense training session followed by the speech deliverance by Diganta Biswa Sharma and ACP Maitryree Deka.

Diganta Biswa Sharma urged the youths who are pillars of the nation, to know Swami Vivekananda and try to imbibe his qualities as he was a great reformer, spiritual and a great social leader.

ACP Maitryree Deka highlighted many important facts about safety and security of girls, how to make proper use of mobile phones, and to follow the principles of Vivekananda.

Along with them, there were few other delegates who attended the program, stated a release.
