Guwahati Police arrested three people while they were trying to break into an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in Lokhra belonging to the State Bank of India in an attempt to rob the cash in the same.

GUWAHATI: Guwahati Police arrested three people while they were trying to break into an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in Lokhra belonging to the State Bank of India in an attempt to rob the cash in the same. They were trying to break open the upper part of the ATM, and the local public informed the police regarding the same. The identities of the three accused were revealed to be Ritesh Raj (26) son of Bijay Sharma of Rajabigha; Debanandan Kumar (26) son of Bhusan Singh of Badauan; and Pramod Singh (32) son of Suraj Singh of Badauan. All these localities come under Police Station Fatehpur of Gaya District of Bihar. On searching their possessions, police also recovered a card swipe machine and three ATM cards from them, including one belonging to one Babul Injal. Case number 188/2023 has been registered in this regard in the Gorchuk Police Station, and proper legal action has been initiated in this regard.
