Guwahati Police arrested 9 cattle smugglers

GUWAHATI: A team of East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) from Khetri Police Station thwarted four attempts to smuggle a total of 57 cattle into Meghalaya. The team arrested nine cattle smugglers identified as Giyasuddin and Makhmadul, both from Moirabari; Abdullah and Narzul Islam from Juria; Tajmul Hussain and Rubul Amin from Rupahi; Jakir Hussain from Chotia; Ajimuddin; and Ijajul Islam from Barghuli.

The team intercepted three trucks and one pickup truck.
