GUWAHATI: Guwahati Police was able to arrest three miscreants involved in snatching cash from the public amid rampant incidents of thefts in the city on Saturday.
Guwahati Police under the East Guwahati Police District arrested three two-wheeler-borne robbers after they snatched cash of Rs. 10,030 from a person near Basistha Police Station in broad daylight on Friday. Basistha Police carried out a search operation to nab the three snatchers after the victim lodged a complaint at the Basistha Police Station informing them about the incident. The two-wheeler bearing registration number AS 01 FA 3206, was used in the incident while the miscreants snatched Rs.10,030 in cash from the victim, identified as Raju Yadav was also seized by the police team. The incident took place on the National Highway in Basistha Chariali, about 500 meters away from Basistha Police Station. The three arrested miscreants were been identified as Lucky Barman, Prakash Boro and Pranjal Boro. Lucky Barman belongs to Lalmati while Prakash Boro and Pranjal Boro belong to Khanapara.
