Guwahati Police nab four burglars in city

GUWAHATI: Acting on a tip-off, a team of the West Guwahati Police Station (WPGD) from Bharalumukh Police Station arrested four burglars from the Jalukbari area. The four are identified as Faizul Hoque (28), Paresh Ali, Moinal Ali (30), and Mainuddin Ali (25) all hailing from Chhaygaon, Kamrup. The team seized one Bolero, four mobile phones, a knife, and the articles/instruments used for housebreaking from their possession. On interrogating them, the thieves led the police to a house at Islampur in Rani area in Kamrup district, where they kept their stolen items. On raiding the house, the team further seized nine mobile phones, one HP laptop, three cameras, gold ornaments, four laptop bags, brass metal articles, two sharp weapons (khukri), and cash worth Rs 15000. Further interrogation is on.
