Guwahati Police seize heroin, arrest 3 persons in city

GUWAHATI: A special squad of the Central Guwahati Police District and Paltan Bazar police intercepted two drug peddlers - Ratnesh Kumar and Monibhushan Kumar - from the Hatigaon area in Guwahati. The duo came to Guwahati by train yesterday. The police also arrested another person - Farukh Ahmed - of Hatigaon for receiving drugs from the duo. The police seized 101 gm of heroin kept in nine soap boxes, besides Rs 3.72 lakh from them.
