Guwahati Police seized huge cache of liquor at Birubari

GUWAHATI: Acting on a tipoff, personnel of the Crime Branch of City Police seized liquor — including sulai — during a raid at Birubari in Nizarapar under Birubari Out Post. The raid was conducted at the house of Supahi Rava (55 years of age) — wife of late Naren Rabha.The Police apprehended the manager of the illegal liquor business — Krishna Boro (29 years of age) and son of Kosto Boro of the area.

During the operation, the Police recovered 45 bottles of Kingfisher Beer, 70 (quarter) bottles and eight (half) bottles of McDowells; 40 (quarter) bottles and five half bottles of of DS Black; six (half) bottles 36 (quarter) bottles of Imperial Blue besides 300 liters of country made liquor.
