GUWAHATI: The official website of the Gauhati University (GU) was hacked for the second time in the last seven months on the wee hours of Friday.

The unknown hackers demanded that GU exam fees and admission fees should be reduced or they should cancel their exams.

"Let's talk about the matter? Straight to the point! What the f**k you guys are up to Guwahati University? Do you even know how much students are struggling for exam fees and admission?" said a message on the website when it was hacked.

"FAKE FREE ADMISSION? WOW! YOU GUYS REALLY LOVE TO GET HACKED! DON'T YOU?" the hackers added in the top of their message.

"Let us directly clue you guys (GU officials) in! This HACK is "NOT" for fun. We can get access to each and everything Guwahati University literally owns! You guys better watch your back," added the hackers.

According to university sources, the website was hacked from 3 am to 4 am and it was restored in a short amount of time. Earlier when the website was hacked, hackers added links to porn sites on the university website, said a source.

The letter state that in a field verification conducted by CLPF, it was found that most of the street vendors are selling the products at a higher rate than the actual price. "There is no vigilance from the side of local administration on selling of gutka, tobacco etc. by the street vendors. Most of the street vendors openly display the gutka, tobacco etc. in their stole. They easily and smoothly collect the gutka, tobacco etc. from the market," said the CLPF.
