Guwahati Zonal Unit of NCB seizes ganja worth Rs 65 lakh

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Zonal Unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday night seized 405. 27 kg of ganja on NH-37 near Metro Hospital in Khanapara here from a container truck (NL01 AF 3380).

The seized ganja, valued at around Rs 65 lakh, was concealed in a specially-made cavity above the driver's cabin, which opened towards the loading area.

According to NCB sources, one Kumar Sunar (38) has been arrested in this connection.

The consignment was sourced from Agartala in Tripura and was being sent to Jharkhand.
