Handique College, TC School Do Fairly Well In HS Examinations

GUWAHATI: Even as none of their students could make it to the top ten ranks in any of the streams, Handique Girls’ College and TC Government Girls’ HS & MP School, both government institutions, did fairly well in the HS final examinations, 2019, the results of which were declared by the AHSEC (Assam Higher Secondary Education Council) on Saturday.

As many as 100 of the 102 students, who had taken the HS examinations from Handique Girls’ College in Arts stream, came out successful, registering a pass percentage of 98. While 15 students secured star marks, students of the college got 69 letters. The number of students securing first division marks from the college is 50. While 41students passed in second division, 9 students cleared the examination in third division.

In Science stream from the college, 76 of the 80 students who had taken the examination came out successful, registering a success rate of 95 per cent. Three students secured star marks. As many as 30 letters were obtained by the students of the college. Among the 76 passed candidates, 33 got first division, 39 got second division and 4 got third division.

From TC Government Girls’ HS and MP School, 79 of the 80 students who had taken the HS Arts examination came out successful, the pass percentage being 99. While 19 of the 79 students got first division, 40 got second division and 20 got third division.

In Science stream, all the five students who had taken the examination from the school came out successful, the pass percentage being 100. While four students got first division, one got second division.

In vocational stream, four of the seven candidates who had taken the examination passed, came out successful – one in first division and three in second division.
