Hatigaon-Sijubari road submerged underwater for many days in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Locals of Hatigaon are facing problems due to the Hatigaon Sijubari road which has been submerged under water for many days.

The 200-meter long road is in front of the Mothers Old Age Home. The locals stated that reason for the waterlogging is due to the halt in construction of a drain at the Sijubari Ghoramara path. The drain's water should be released through the the intersecting point of Hatigaon, Sijubari and Ghoramara road however, the construction site of the drain is also submerged. Though the main road of Hatigaon Sijubari road was constructed a year before but the road is full of potholes. The locals demand that the construction of the drain should be completed immediately for the convenience of the people.
