Higher Education Department issues notice regarding edit option for SAMARTH portal

GUWAHATI: The Higher Education Department (HED), through a notification, has informed applicants that applications through the SAMARTH e-gov Portal will be given the option to edit their submitted applications from June 20 to June 22 from 9 p.m. onwards.

Meanwhile, once a candidate applies for a course through the e-gov portal, they cannot edit their credentials once they have applied, but now the department has made it clear with the new notification.

It may be mentioned, the Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal under the SAMARTH-e Gov portal for admission to undergraduate (UG) programmes of the Union Government was launched for the convenience of students for admission in all state universities and government-aided higher education institutions across the state.

It works with the aim of enabling universities and higher education institutions (HEIs) through a digital framework for planning, management, delivery, and monitoring of services for students, staff, and other stakeholders. The project provides HEIs with a fully managed, cloud-based, comprehensive ERP that is custom built for the country’s HEIs.
