GUWAHATI: The Higher Secondary Final Examination 2024 will commence in February and March. The online form-filling process will start from November 1 to 30. The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has issued a notification regarding the conduct of the final examination. The council has also issued a notification regarding the fee structure, category-wise.

According to the notification, "It is for the information of all concerned that the Council is planning to hold the Higher Secondary Final Examination 2024 in February and March 2024. In this connection, the process of filling out online forms will start on November 1, 2023, and will be closed on November 30, 2023. All the heads of the institutions under the jurisdiction of the Council are requested to notify their students regarding the process of online form fill-up during the said period so that no one is left out of the process of form fill-up. The respective portal for online form fill-up will be opened in due course, and the same will be intimated to the institutions."

The notification further added, "In pursuance of the government notification on November 7, 2022, the centre fees, examination fees, etc. are exempted in respect of the examinees of Govt./Provincialized/Recognized Venture Schools/Colleges who are going to appear in the H.S. Final Examination 2024 and whose parental annual income taken together from all sources is Rs. 2.00 lakhs or below."

For the regular students, they have to pay Rs 300 for the centre fee, Rs 500 for the examination fee, Rs 200 for mark sheets, Rs 200 for certificates, Rs 100 for the practical examination fee per subject (if applicable), Rs 100 for the non-recognised subject permission fee (if applicable), and Rs 200 for the MIL subject fee (if applicable).

The Council also published the fee structures for the students of private institutions: non-institutional private (N.I.P.), unsuccessful candidate/compartmental willing to appear in all subjects (N.I.P.), compartmental students, betterment students, and for certain subjects.
