Huge cache of foreign cigarettes seized from Guwahati railway station

GUWAHATI: Government Railway Police (GRP) on Tuesday seized a huge consignment of foreign cigarettes from the Guwahati railway station.

GRP recovered 133 bundles of foreign cigarettes from the Dn Kamrup Express at Guwahati railway station. One person has been arrested in this connection. He has been identified as Panneerselvam Rangasamy who hails from Thiruvallam. According to sources, the consignment had been brought from Dimapur to be delivered at Howrah.
