GUWAHATI: The Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati (IIITG) literary club Kalrav on Saturday hosted a panel discussion on "A fulfilling life: have a well-paying career, pursue a passion or hobby, and contribute to the nation".

The event was held in association with Wissen Monk, a literary startup, with the participation of Bhargav Bharali, Co-Founder of Wissen Monk, and Nilutpal Gohain, Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies for the Government of Assam and author of the famous book "The Legend of Lachit Borphukan," as the panel speakers.

The speakers remarked, "Pursuing our passion is necessary if we want to live a happier life, but we need a well-paying career to continue it. Backup plans are required in today's materialistic world, where there is cutthroat competition among the denizens. So, one can say that if we are stable financially, we can pursue other areas of interest."

Nilutpal Gohain remarked that students need to work with perseverance, passion, and determination for their success. He quoted the lives of our great leaders, Mahatma Gandhi, Lachit Borphukan, and many other Indian leaders as examples. Nilutpal Gohain also spoke on his book, "The Legend of Lachit Borphukan," and the web series that was released on its adaptations, stated a press release.
