Indian Railways launched ‘Rail Madad’ app for redressal of complaint

GUWAHATI: The Indian Railways has introduced the ‘Rail Madad’ app to expedite and streamline passenger grievance redressal.

The app will completely digitize the complaint management system in the railways. “Rail Madad” stands for “Mobile Application for Desired Assistance During Travel”. The salient feature of the “Rail Madad” application are that it integrates all modes of filing complaints including offline and online modes into a single website. The app is also available in the web version. The app issues complaint register ID instantly and relays the complaint to the relevant field official for immediate action. It relays real-time feedback to passengers on the status of redressal of their complaints followed by a customized SMS communicating the action taken thereon by the Railways.
